This month’s Reddit Revue: r/Pics!
I was sick as a dog when I did last month’s Reddit Revue.
In fact, I was so sick that I genuinely forgot what subreddit I did. As I look at the article now and see that it was r/Cooking, I’m starting to realize just how sick I was. I don’t even remember writing half of that shit.
This month’s Reddit Revue isn’t gonna be much better. I’m not sick anymore, but as I write this it’s February 12th. The Philadelphia Eagles have just won the Super Bowl, and the whole city has been in party mode since Sunday night. I haven’t gotten a fucking thing done at work this week, and our office is closed Friday because the city is throwing a huge parade downtown and most of us are going to it. Over 1 million people are expected to attend, this shit is gonna be nuts. There’s a good chance that I might be killed in the ensuing chaos. Don’t worry, I have articles scheduled to publish into April, so even death won’t stop AJnet Mag from its mission to entertain you (yes, YOU!). In the event of my untimely death, I’ve designated Señor Juan as my successor.
Since it’s February, I was originally going to do something love or dating related. Then I remembered my promise to avoid making fun of women and incels for a while. I was ready to completely disregard that promise and just go for the low hanging fruit, but then regular reader Cave suggested r/Pics, a subreddit for people to share pictures. Or, as Cave more accurately put it, “When the posts aren’t political, they’re just some stolen art or selfie with a sob story.”
I can only imagine what fun awaits us at r/Pics.

And of course, the AJnet crew will be in the thick of it, packed in near the Art Museum. Some of us might even be sober. So if you’re down there for the parade, come find us and say hi. We’ll be easy to spot, because chances are Frosty will be doing something incredibly stupid like trying to fistfight the Rocky statue, my CFO Stephanie has a loud mouth, and I guarantee I’ll be the only guy wearing a DX hat and Hatsune Miku shirt at an Eagles event.
