Adobe Flash CS4 sucks.

Actually, I might as well just say “Fuck Adobe CS4” altogether.

I’ve been working on the trailer for the first season of “The Phoenix” for at least 6 months. My greatest problem is that I’m my own biggest critic. My second greatest problem is laziness. A couple months ago, I decided to get up off my lazy ass and work on the trailer using Flash CS4, which I hadn’t had problems with yet. Everything went good, up until recently.

Out of nowhere, my shit started lagging up. It took me a minute to be able to select a different frame on the timeline. I actually sat there and timed it at 67 seconds. Opening movie clips for editing took around 3 minutes. I thought maybe Windows Media Player was lagging it up, so I regretfully shut off Iron Maiden and went back to Flash. No difference. My computer currently has a 2.9 GHz dual core AMD processor and 3 gigs of DDR2 RAM. While it’s not up to par with geek standards, it certainly isn’t a slow piece of shit. So what gives? Why did these problems start manifesting themselves out of nowhere a few months after installing the program? I have no idea, but Flash CS4 is a piece of shit:

The first instance of Flash.exe is Flash CS4. The second instance is CS3, which I had to install if I wanted to make a Flash movie without waiting 5 minutes for a brush stroke to register. Flash CS4 is using twice the amount of memory CS3 is. And to think that there are actually people out there who pay hundreds of dollars for these haphazardly-made programs. Any anti-piracy or anti-file sharing argument Adobe has is invalid, and shit like this is why.

You’re charging +$300 for these programs. The least you can do is make sure they aren’t littered with memory leaks and other bugs. Seriously, the same damn bugs appear in almost every edition of these programs, and they release a patch to fix them later. How about learning from your mistakes and patching them before releasing the program? Every version of your product is consistently laden with similar bugs and glitches, and you really expect me to pay money for it? Get the fuck out of here.

Here’s an idea. How about trying quality over quantity? Adobe shits out a new version of these products once or twice a year. Maybe if you put some more time into the development of your programs instead of popping a biannual squat, you might gain a few more customers.

But I doubt it, since you’ve already left what meager reputation you had in shreds. We’ll just continue pirating your products until you sink. Assholes.
